H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, honoured the winners of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence (SAEE) in its 30th edition at a ceremony held at University City Hall.
Organised by the Sharjah Private Education Authority, the event recognised 51 winners selected from 1,460 participants across the UAE. Dr Muhadditha Al Hashemi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, expressed gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his support of the award, which promotes educational excellence and investment in human resources.
A video presentation titled "Tapestry of Excellence" highlighted the award's journey, showcasing achievements and statistics from the past 30 years. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed launched the "Pillar of Excellence," symbolising recognition of outstanding achievements in education.
In the Outstanding Individuals category, Chitra Raghafan won first place in the Educational Leader category. Saria Abdulrahman secured first place in the Outstanding Teacher category, with Sherin Yahya Ramadan and Mohammed Ahmed Al Bustawi in second and third places.
Yasser Mohammed Laila took first place in the Outstanding Support Functions category, while Sandeyah Mohammed Al Ziyoudi won in the Outstanding Parent category.
In the Outstanding Student category for grades 3 to 12, notable winners included Ayush Krishnanifas, Hamad Saif Al Aryani, Sarah Javed Khan, and Shamsa Ali Al Naqbi, with Mayed Aref Al Zaabi winning in the Special Needs category.
Al Nuhayneyah School was named Outstanding School, and Suhailah Nursery received the award for Outstanding Nursery.
The Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence aims to promote excellence, creativity, and innovation in education, encouraging individuals and institutions to achieve high standards in all aspects of learning.
