hina on Tuesday launched a new satellite for geographic research purposes from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in the country's northwest.
The Tianhui-7 satellite, launched aboard a Long March-4B rocket, has entered its planned orbit, according to the centre.
It will be primarily used for tasks such as geographic mapping, land resource surveys, and scientific research.
