As part of an initiative carried out in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority’s (ADTCA), Bab Al Qasr Hotel hosted a seven-member media delegation from Kazakhstan aimed to promote Abu Dhabi Tourism in Kazakhstan. The group had the opportunity to not only explore the capital but also experience the essence of Arabia in the prestigious Bab Al Qasr from 16-20 of September.
The media trip follows the UAE leadership’s decision to permit Kazakh tourists to obtain a visa on arrival, bringing about a surge in local tourism from the region. Thereafter, Etihad Airways has introduced a fleet of direct flights from the Kazakh capital Astana to Abu Dhabi, further making the city a more attractive and appealing vacation spot for Kazah tourists.
Murshed Al Shamsi, Bab Al Qasr Hotel’s Director of Protocol said in a statement, “Such a project can promote tourism in Abu Dhabi, especially as the city is preparing for the new season”. “Media trips are a good way to promote the nation’s rich culture, tourism and increase international awareness on the vast variety of experiences offered in Abu Dhabi.”
The delegation represented diverse target markets and age groups of Kazakhstan expanding its effects across different levels. Reporters from capital.kz, Kazakhstan’s most popular international platform, Atameken Business Channel abctv.kz, and lifestyle publications #1 Mag and Robb Report were accompanied by representatives from the Tourism and Cultural Authority and Kazunion tour operator.
The group was attracted to the wonders of Abu Dhabi, be it the pristine beaches, the flamboyance of its hotels, its extravagant variety of enriching leisure experiences, and the warm hospitality signature to the city’s community.
Mr Al Shamsi commented, “It is quite an entirely new form to combine city promotion and tourism. I hope to achieve more deepened communication and cooperation between the two countries”.
