An eight-member UAE Boxing Team is among 138 boxers from 18 Asian countries participating in the Asian Junior Boxing Championship hosted by the Philippines, till 8th August.
Anas Al Otaiba, Chairman of the UAE Boxing Federation, Member of the Executive Office of the Asian Boxing Confederation and the Head of the Delegation, highlighted the importance of the championship and its role in providing the perfect opportunity to players. He said that the UAE national team has the determination and persistence to achieve exceptional results in the competition.
Boxers Saud Abdulwahed and Ali Al Khorousi meet in the first of the national team’s matches with boxers from Uzbekistan, while boxer Amer Al Suwaider will face a player from Kyrgyzstan.
Hassan Al Hammadi, Secretary-General of the UAE Boxing Federation, has called on all the boxers to focus on their game with zeal and perseverance.
