Most school children in UAE are required to continue their education from home through
online learning due to security measures taken to curb the spread of COVID-19. But a
substantial number of these students do not have access to a home computer. Through
‘Education Uninterrupted’ campaign, VFS Global, the world's largest visa outsourcing and
technology services specialist for governments and diplomatic missions worldwide, joins
Dubai Cares and the UAE Ministry of Education in their effort to help students from less
privileged families to continue with their online schooling.
VFS Global donated well-maintained IT devices such as computers, monitor screens and thin client
servers in support of the ‘Education Uninterrupted’ campaign.
Peter Brun, Chief Communications Officer who spearheads CSR initiatives at VFS Global said:
“During these unprecedented times, VFS Global strives to bridge the gap between children and their
continued education through access to technology. By donating these devices, we are supporting
local communities to enrich academic and professional well-being of students.”
Part of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, ‘Education Uninterrupted’ is a
nationwide campaign that tackles the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on the education of children
and youth in the UAE.
