Throughout the year, Lausanne hosts numerous regatta events including the ‘Lake Geneva 5-day race’ representing Europe’s longest lake-bound endurance race, which is held during the month of August, followed by Translémanique, a solo race across Lake Geneva, staged three weeks later. Another annual event on Lake Geneva is the world’s longest rowing contest of 160 km which is organized by the Société Nautique de Genève.

Visitors can also cycle around Lake Geneva in the Cyclotour du Léman (180 km), for casual, family-friendly rider to high profile races for expert bikers.
