Courtyard by Marriott hosted a sumptuous pre-iftar dinner event at the Bistro showcasing the best seasonal Ramadan flavours and authentic local dishes. Since this holy month is all about reflecting with peace and togetherness, the restaurants theme for this year was all about love and laughter.
The event commenced at sunset after the prayer, followed by the opening of the buffet highlighting a wide selection of international & Middle Eastern cuisine, giving authenticity to the most favourable dishes across the region with the supervision of their newly hired Executive Chef Chandra. The buffet featured traditional Lebanese cold mezze, seafood tagine with Moroccan spices, a must for all seafood lovers, Lamb thareed, an Emirati specialty which was the Prophet Mohammad’s favorite dish, Jordanian Chicken or Lamb Mansaf, Syrian Kibbe bil Laban, Harees chicken or Lamb are just some highlights guests will be experiencing this Ramadan. This includes delicious desserts, where guests can indulge in mouth-watering sweet treats of Middle Eastern choices of desserts such as homemade Forni, Lqimat, a variety of dates and plenty of culinary delights for breaking ones fast.
Executive Chef, Chandra Swamy commented, “Ramadan is indeed very special to me, as it brings people closer to each other. The food is the centre of attention throughout the entire month, especially as it promotes harmony and makes others feel for the less fortunate.”

Bistro enjoys a family-friendly Iftar offering throughout Ramadan, engaging guests with creative flairs of Arabian flavours and aromatic brews for AED 170* per person. The experience is replete with fresh beverages, Ramadan juices and an array of mouth-watering desserts.
The all-day dining restaurant also serves as the perfect venue for daily Suhour, welcoming diners to the tastes of Arabia, Asia and Europe from 2:00 am to 4:00 am.
