With the second edition of the Miam Festival launching on May 19, thousands will gather for the signature food festival which will see the cream of Lausanne’s dining scene assembling with food trucks and stalls, serving up delicious variants of local and international dishes.
The festival is known for its quality grub which spans over everything from high-end restauranteurs, caterers, food trucks, craftsmen, produce, grocers, wine growers, and local brewers who offer something for every palate. Visitors and guests will also appeal to the accompanying entertainment such as tasting sessions, and interactive culinary workshops which are family friendly and affordable.
The Director of Lausanne Tourisme, Steeve Pasche said, “The Miam Festival has been designed to offer our guests the best of global cuisines and everyone can enjoy hearty food made with love in an intimate, vibrant and friendly environment. Peruse over 50 stands during the two days. It is the ideal event for families and friends from the GCC.”
The festival will take place at the Place de la Riponne in Lausanne from May 19 – May 21.
The city will also be home to the seasonal Lausanne à Table Festival which will take place from April through October, a tantalizing summer fiesta which will feature talented chefs, dedicated producers of artisan foods and open wine cellars who will showcase all they have to offer for the city’s tourists, travellers and residents. Intended to throw light on the rich, diverse and distinct culinary scene in Lausanne, this festival is sure to strengthen Lausanne as one of the leading gastronomic destinations of the region.
