The Emirates Orthopedic Division of the Emirates Medical Association announced that the 12th UAE International Orthopedic Congress will kick off Friday in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of more than 800 consultants, doctors, nurses and technicians from the UAE, the Middle East and the world and the participation of more than 15 companies from the most important companies manufacturing slats, supports, external fixatives and medical devices.
Dr. Ali Al Suwaidi, Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon and Chairman of the Conference, said that this global gathering aims to highlight the image of the Abu Dhabi Centre regionally and globally as a medical treatment centre and to consolidate the principle of interest in developing medical cadres, and creating an incubating environment for experts and specialists, which came through the development of health services provided to all segments of society, holding conferences and seminars, and attracting the best doctors, which made Abu Dhabi an important centre for organising conferences and receiving expertise and Ideas to provide the best health services, which made us live a distinctive health renaissance.
He explained that the conference hosts 70 regional and international lecturers from 14 countries, including speakers from Europe, Australia, India and the Middle East, and there will be scientific programs consisting of 90 scientific lectures for three days, and there will be workshops in addition to seminars for the industrial sector.
In turn, Dr. Ali Al Balushi, Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon and Vice President of the Conference, said that the main topics to be covered by the conference this year include the elbow, hand and nerve, developments in orthopedics, upper limb and spine, pelvic and lower limb surgery and pediatric orthopedics, knee arthroplasty and pain management in orthopedics - cartilage and meniscus, and the role of biology in orthopedics.
He explained that the conference, organised by Info Plus with the support of the Department of Culture and Tourism, the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, the Dubai Health Authority, and the Emirates Health Services Corporation over three days, will include 15 scientific sessions, 90 lectures, 54 scientific research and a session for the industrial sector with the participation of 15 international companies from the most famous companies manufacturing chips, supports, external fixators, medical devices that deal with bone diseases and pharmaceutical companies.
