The Sindhutva Foundation is organizing a week-long Sindhi Film Festival from June 7 to 13, 2024 in Nagpur city of Maharashtra state of India.
According to a poster of the film festival, posted by Radio Sindhi on Instagram, seven Sindhi films will be screened during the festival. The films include نازڪ رشتو ‘Naazuk Rishto’, لکي منھنجو لکن ۾ ‘Lakhi Munhjo Lakhan Main’, آخرين ٽرين‘Akhreen Train – The Last Train’, وردان ‘Vardaan-2’, ٽپڙ ٽيشن تي ‘Trappadd Teshon Tey’, پنھنجو ھڪڙو ئي يار آ‘Panhinjo Hikdo Hi Yaar Aa’ and کٽو مٺو‘Khatto Mitho’.
Aakhreen Train – The Last Train, a Sindhi film about two Hindu-Muslim lovers caught in the turmoil of Partition, based on well-known writer Thakur Chawla’s short story, is directed by Susheel Gajwani. The other movies are based on stories of social issues.
Daily two shows will be held at 6.30pm and 9.30pm at Buty (Smruti) Cineplex, Sadar Nagpur.
