Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), has called on Thiqa cardholders between 18 and 75 years of age to benefit from the IFHAS comprehensive health screening programme, which has become one of the main requirements to maintain the eligibility for the full insurance’s benefits.
Through proactive medical screenings, the IFHAS screening programme contributes to increasing disease prevention and early detection of risk factors associated with health conditions, which enhances therapeutic results, and contributes to reducing the complications of some diseases, while delaying the occurrence of serious health problems.
“IFHAS” is a comprehensive periodic screening programme considered as an integrated health initiative contributing to the early detection of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, most common cases of cancer, oral and dental health, bone health, and mental health.
The examinations include a full health risk assessment based on a general health questionnaire and the results of comprehensive clinical examinations and relevant blood tests. The screening can be taken at any primary and specialised care centres from the following entities: Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), Mubadala Healthcare, NMC Healthcare, Mediclinic and Burjeel Holdings. Consequently, the screening results will be added to the Malaffi health information exchange platform.
Matar Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, stated, "At the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), the health and well-being of members of our community is our utmost priority, aligning with our vision “A Healthier Abu Dhabi”. That is why the IFHAS programme is one of the ADPHC’s most important initiatives, seeking to implement the values of early detection of diseases and ensuring that community members receive the necessary healthcare at the right time. Additionally, it encourages them to take proactive steps to protect their health and put their well-being first, while helping them in adopting measures that enhance their healthy lifestyle according to the results of their examinations. We aim to make these screenings an integral part of citizens’ health-seeking routine, thus ensuring the health and wellbeing of members of our community.”
"IFHAS” represents a comprehensive health assessment system, and its new logo symbolises health and wellness, reflecting the programme's core values of compassion, care, personalised attention, precision and accuracy.
