Tilal Liwa Hotel played host to a mesmerizing two-night stay and desert tour for the photographers and creative visionaries of Sony Middle East & Africa (MEA). The artistic assembly gathered the region’s biggest and up-and-coming photographers and social media influencers to experience Sony’s Mirrorless camera along with Sony Alpha Photographers from the region for a number of photo shoots in and around the hotel.
The Sony MEA delegates and photographers were warmly welcomed with an intimate reception at the Arabian-inspired hotel and tackled the activities and amenities available during the trip. Over 25 photographers indulged in lavish accommodations, mouth-watering delicacies at the Al Badiya Restaurant and thrilling leisure activities during their stay.
During the two-day visit, photographers were able to highlight the bespoke location and activities of Tilal Liwa Hotel with the use of different photography genres. The unending pristine stretch of the Rub Al Khali served as one of the venues for the photo shoot, where photographers were able to capture desert safari, quad biking, camel riding and fire breathing for their portfolio. Models were also brought to the scene for a mini fashion shoot in the sands and in the hotel. The four-star property served as a subject for the shoot as well, with its structure gleaming a distinct Bedouin taste. The photo shoot was capped with an evening in the desert under the stars for an Astro Photography session to capture the luminous movements of galaxies.
“We would like to thank Tilal Liwa Hotel for hosting us and providing the perfect landscape for our photography tours in and around the hotel property. As a leader in digital imaging, Sony has always been at the forefront of developing, encouraging and attracting talented photo enthusiasts and professional photographers. The participation from 25 of UAE’s most talented photographers at the recent photo tours is a testament of Sony’s commitment to provide local talent with the tools and technical expertise that would help them enhance their photography skills.” Said Murat Gebeceli, Head of Digital Imaging, Sony Middle East and Africa
Hotel General Manager, Khaled Sharabassy said, “Tilal Liwa Hotel boasts a distinct natural venue which brings guests closer to decades of Emirati heritage and nature. We are humbled to witness our surroundings and our hotel transform into majestic works of art through photos captured by members of the Sony MEA which in turn, strengthens our vision to showcase Tilal Liwa Hotel and Rub Al Khali to the people of the UAE and to the rest of the world.”
