Lausanne, Switzerland Tourism embarked on a road- show earlier this week throughout the GCC, to promote tourism which aims to attract the GCC residents to Lausanne. Being one of the most visited cities in Europe, Lausanne is home to Lake Geneva, a picturesque magical stretch of water that has been the star attraction to the town.
Representatives of Lausanne Tourism met with over 900 travel specialists to discuss future plans on tour packages. The show commenced its trail from Ras Al Khaimah and later proceeded to neighbouring GCC countries which includes Oman and Kuwait, ending the road show at Saudi Arabia.
This promotional tour initiative shunned the spotlight on the latest tourist attractions in Lausanne offering activities for tourist of all age groups to indulge in. The newest hot spot this coming season is the Aquatis, a 3500 square meter freshwater Aquarium touted to be the biggest in Europe that has become a platform for environmental education and recreation, consisting of twenty different ecosystems and over ten thousand fish.
Another highlight of Lausanne is the iconic hotel, Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa, a five-star address of the city which consists of 196 rooms and suites that overlooks spectacular lake-front vistas of the Geneva Lake and the Vaud Alps.
