Family Federation for World Peace and Unification Nepal chapter inaugurated a new literary organization called the Peace Literature Assembly

In celebration of Bhanu Jayanti, the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) Nepal chapter inaugurated a new literary organization called the Peace Literature Assembly. During the event, the organization also announced the Peace Literature Award, aimed at promoting global peace through literature.

Under the coordination of poet Rupsingh Bhandari, the organization has committed to honoring one distinguished poet each year with the prestigious Peace Literature Award, which includes a prize of NPR 100,000. Bhandari, who writes in English is the author of Conscience Quantum is a dedicated promoter of Nepali art, nature, culture, and the majestic Himalayan Mountains. He has also composed numerous poems in Nepali and has long been an active advocate for the peace movement. Believing firmly that literature is one of humanity’s brightest expressions, he sees it as a vital force to unite the world.

On Bhanu Jayanti, the society organized a heartfelt poetry recitation event as part of the celebrations. Eighteen poets, including Santosh Kumar Pokharel, Sneha Sayiami, Krishna Bause, Ranjana Niraula, Rami Priya, and Bhoj Kumar Dhamala, Subas Singh Parajuli, Ujala Kapali, Deep Dangi , Ganga Khatiwada, Sunil Dhungana Chachu Rita Khatiwada, Janakraj Adhikari  R. Manandhar recited their poignant poems during the program.

Krishna Adhikari, poet and lyricist and the South Asia Director of the FFWPU, emphasized that peace is essential for everyone. He highlighted that literature can serve as a powerful vehicle in the journey toward harmony and understanding.

Chief Guest Bhisma Upreti, emphasized the important role of poetry and the poets’ understanding for peace.  Social worker Binod Dangi, thanked all the participants and H. B. Khatri gave a welcome remark to all guests. Organizers believe that the profound impact of poetry and literature can foster peace and unity in the chaotic world.
