The July Uprising of 2024 was sparked by the reinstatement of a controversial job quota system, leading to widespread protests against the brutal regime of Sheikh Hasina and the Awami League. The government's violent crackdown, known as the July Massacre, resulted in over 1,000 deaths and 20,000 injuries. This genocide shocked the international community.
In the wake of the bloodshed, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Nobel laureate and advocate for social justice, took charge to restore peace and democracy, rejecting violence and leading the country toward healing.
This anthology will capture the pain and resilience of those days, examining the atrocities, the revolution, and the global response to Bangladesh's crisis.
