If you write about your love for the Prophet's family, you are accused of being Shia, and if you write about your love for the companions of the Prophet, they say you are a Salafi and Sunni, etc. And if you wrote about asceticism and divine love, they said you are a Sufi. And if you combine all of that, they become silent and cannot accuse you or say that you are "just a Muslim"!
There is a saying that
"The Egyptian is Sunni in belief
and Shia in affection."
He believes in Allah, the Quran, and the authentic Sunnah, which is the meaning of Sunni belief for him, far from Sunni, Salafi sects, groups, and other philosophies. If you ask a man on the street about Abu Hanifa, for example, he would say he only hears about Abu Hanifa on occasions of Quranic contract when the official says: "And on the doctrine of Imam Abu Hanifa Al-Nu'man"!!
As for Shia in affection, it is because of the Egyptians' love for the entire family of the Prophet. You can see that in the celebration of their birthdays in Al-Hussein and Sayyida Zeinab squares, may Allah be pleased with them all. And this love is not a result of belonging to a Shia sect or another group, but it is an affiliation to the love of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and his family, may Allah be pleased with them. The Egyptian does not have hatred in his heart for anyone regarding belief; he respects the Shia and respects the Sunni and hates extremism and fanaticism in both. He has a sixth sense in belief that he always distinguishes with.
It is time to free the mind from restrictions and classifications. The freedom of the mind makes you soar in the sky of thought, faith, and your convictions. No one imposes his thoughts or beliefs on you; then you are like a bird singing for freedom where there are no restrictions or limits to imagination and mind.
Liberating the mind from rigidity and restrictions has become a necessity.
"If the mind is freed, faith in the heart becomes stronger, and we get closer to Allah. The mind is your guide and leader, and the heart is where love and light reside."
Be just a Muslim and divorce all sects
and be free from all restrictions
and put Allah in your heart
and the Quran as your guide, your book, and the authentic Sunnah
only that which agrees with the Quran and nothing else
It is your model in your behaviors and actions.
Then you will be a true Muslim.
