The world of spirits is peculiar. It's incredible how those who approach it align, and those who distance from it diverge. It's as if they have hearts that feel and minds that choose, meeting in an unseen and unfelt realm. Unknown, yet astounding. Perhaps the first question that troubles human souls and piques minds due to the puzzlement of the inconceivable is... do the body and soul represent one thing or are they two different things making up one person?
The distance between the heavens and the earth,
or the distance from the beginning of creation to its end,
or the distance from where the sun rises to where it sets,
is the actual distance between the body and the soul. It is the difference between the physical world and the world of insight and unseen senses.
The body is but a vessel or a cradle that holds souls. So how can we compare two different worlds in every relative, intellectual aspect, and everything that is intangible and imaginary? They may be integrated, harmonious, despite each having its own language and life. Or they might be discordant when the body confines the soul, preventing it from soaring in its world, or when it fails to understand its secrets, hence restraining its endless ascension in its extraordinary kingdom.
The soul is the essence of a human and the true part of them. It is the personality, identity, and free will, which the body manifests in its gestures, gazes, or movements. The amazing thing is that our souls are completely independent from everything material and are not bound by time or place. The body may grow old, decay, or become weak and fragile over the days, unlike the soul, which remains unaffected by the aging process, does not age nor does it become senile. It is eternally youthful, strong, vivacious, unimpeded by any obstacle or restraint. It carries us, soars to the furthest reaches, and the most remote places. We age, and our souls remain young. We live our most beautiful moments with it, we get lost with it in the heights of the clouds, between the green islands, and on the banks of inspiring minds, to experience existence beyond the physical body, even after death.
The concept that the soul is independent from the body is a reality that invites us to view life experiences from a different perspective. How many souls have we encountered that move in bodies for minutes or seconds, impacting us for days and nights, and may even stretch to years due to their beauty and magnificence. These are the ones we call "sweet-souled." And how many souls have we wished to never meet again in this world, let alone in the ethereal life? Just as souls harmonize with the body to form us, they also resonate with those similar to them when meeting.
Therefore, we find that one of the hardest types of attachment is attachment to the soul, disregarding the form and color, with no habituation here, nor boredom. No body that travels and never returns, or dies and never comes back. It is the same soul, wherever it goes, unique with one fingerprint, a soul that shines on you, making you illuminate the world, lifting the world from your shoulders to comfort your heart without you realizing. As it turns out, the harmony of the inner souls in a unified, symmetrical unit is the perfect path to everlasting happiness.
Let's immerse our souls in the cultures of the entire world, and contemplate the miracles created around us. The priority in focusing is on nurturing the soul to emit light, love, beauty, and culture, filling the world with creativity and nobility to perform the impossible, to rise higher and higher. Let's take care of our bodies to allow our souls to live freely and have a positive impact. The mind, thought, and vision are the souls, and the bodies are but mirrors of our inner souls breathing freedom. Ultimately, the balance between the soul and body leads us to contentment and psychological peace.
