When sorrow engulfs most of us, we lament ourselves living its moments, so we pass over it with dignity, and create a thousand escape doors to run from the castles of our sadness. We immerse ourselves in life, completely forgetting that it has not left us or vanished, but rather it hid beneath what we called the darkness of the mind.
The more we run from it, the more it grows and multiplies. It awaits a moment of silence to lift the veil and come out ruthlessly, taking complete control. It squeezes us until we wish for demise. In intense pain, some may decide to take themselves to the decision of salvation, seeking refuge under its shadow, thinking that it is the best way to triumph over the beast of sorrow that blew him down to the ground.
I won't hide a secret, I am perfectly skilled at paying my sorrows in installments and running from them by all means. I search for everything that paralyzes the mind and I strive for moments of preoccupation. So that I do not leave the opportunity for this beast to attack me even in the simplest moments of distraction. I am excellent at borrowing from my sorrows, returning its installments manifold, destroying me for days and nights, exhausting my soul, consuming everything, even silence!
Like many others, I have searched a lot for salvation, to satisfy both my heart and mind, giving me a respite, even for moments of mental peace. I finally believe, after exhausting toil, that I have obtained the golden rule for escaping this trap. Do you know what it is? Simply, a convincing rule I found summarized in balance.
Balance, as a meaning and spirit, between complete satisfaction and full awareness.
The first scale is complete satisfaction that we are all under applicable fate, whether we like it or not. Let it pass over us with absolute submission and patience. Nothing will remain forever, even the sun one day will rise in the west to announce the end. The law of creation that applies to us, and we do not apply it, as the moments of happiness end in their full ecstasy, so do feelings of sadness also end in their full pain.
Everything is subject to demise.
Jacob's pain has disappeared, Job's pain has disappeared, Mary's disappointment has disappeared, the Prophet Muhammad's sadness, the prophet of the nation, has disappeared.
The other scale lies in the full awareness of what sadness is and how it invades us, and how we leave our souls for it to play with us and it!
So let's start the story from the beginning.
Life, my friend, carries many moments of happiness and joy, but it also carries spaces of sadness and pain.
For those who did not understand sorrow before, let me clarify what it is!
Sorrow is the biggest real test that allows you to understand yourself and more. Your dealings with it are the biggest indication of your capabilities, and triumphing over it is one of your biggest achievements... It is like any severe disease, we need to recover from it to be able to continue the journey. Our lives are filled with difficult ongoing events.
How many loved ones we have lost.
How many painful experiences we have gone through.
How many falls have hurt us.
It's war, but it's against the toughest opponents!! And the battlefield is inside you!!
The question that insists on you here: How can the battle be with an opponent that we do not see, penetrates the core of the heart, to lay it dead in moments!
You should know that recovery from this monster will not be possible except by confronting it in all its rounds starting from anger to denial to self-blaming and ending with acceptance with a little shadow of satisfaction. The game is complete and will not allow you to skip any of its stages without winning to move on to the next, confront it and pass to reach the end, raising the flag of victory strongly.
So let's unleash sorrow, and we don't care who sees us as weak, and let's allow ourselves to surrender to the flow of sad feelings that fill our hearts. Crying is a right, pain is a right, and feeling hurt is a right. Beware of paying sorrow in installments or borrowing from it your mental peace. And remember that the wise person is the one who took advantage of bitter moments to be a teacher from reality. It is the biggest and greatest guide in life.
Stay my loved ones, and may your love remain.
