Tears Beneath The Bangles
She was still in her school uniform
When the wedding garland was placed around her neck.
On her slender arms,
The red bangles seemed to be mourning.
That night, she became a bride,
Writing and reading the elegy of her own fate.
Who would have known
That over her jewelry that night,
A rain of tears would have poured all night long?
When she opened her eyes again,
Her dreams were already shattered,
And she had fallen into a deep well.
Among the people’s congratulations,
Her soul was sobbing.
That night, from her hands,
The parrots of her dreams had flown away.
