Arab publishing houses are keeping pace with the global boom in literature aimed at young adults, including Bayt Al-Hikma, which has contributed significant titles to the Cairo International Book Fair. These range from stories and novels to translated series, such as the young adult novel * "My Father, the Mapmaker"* by Ashraf Aboul-Yazid, illustrated by Walaa Khalifa, and the Russian novel To My Dear Sister Yulia by the great Russian writer Mikhail Zoshchenko.

Bayt Al-Hikma has also released the Detective Power series, which has garnered over 100 million readers worldwide. This series consists of 12 parts, each representing a mystery: (The Crown Mystery, The Ambulance Mystery, The Poisonous Thorns Mystery, The Sleeping Words Mystery, The Box Mystery, The Missing Son Mystery, The Forest Ghost Mystery, The Three Calls Mystery, The Acrobatic Troupe Mystery, The Cup Mystery, The Falcon Eye Mystery, The Mysterious Restaurants Mystery). All were translated from Chinese by Fatima Osama and Hajar Fawzi.

Additionally, the series The Adventures of the Monkey Sun Wukong was published, a young adult adaptation of one of China's most famous classical books, Journey to the West, translated by Dr. Ahmed Al-Saeed. These tales are filled with excitement and wisdom, inspired by Chinese heritage, teaching children how to overcome challenges in smart and creative ways.

In * "My Father, the Mapmaker"* by Ashraf Aboul-Yazid, a peer asks, "Is this reasonable? Your father draws maps! We draw them in school when we're young. Is there really an adult whose entire job is just to draw a simple map?" However, the events of the novel provide an answer as they take readers on a journey into the mysterious world of maps with the protagonist and his father, who is a cartographer. Through an exciting and enjoyable adventure, we learn about geographical phenomena, as without a map, we could never know the paths, distances, locations, and areas.

Ashraf Aboul-Yazid has worked in cultural journalism for over three decades, overseeing one of the most important Arabic publications for children. He has written the Adventures on the Silk Road series, published weekly over the years. Among his works in children's literature are The Tale of a Painter Who Lived 5000 Years, Children from My Arab Homeland, A Mailman Underwater, and My Cat Writes a Book. He has also translated three poetry books by the Tatar poet Abdullah Tukay and Korean folk tales. He has participated in numerous events related to young adult literature, most recently at the First Children's Literature Congress on the sidelines of the Antalya Book Fair in Turkey.

Among the awards the author has received are the Manhae Grand Prize in Literature (South Korea), the Sawiris Cultural Award for Children's Literature (Egypt), the Gold Medal from the Commonwealth Association (Kazakhstan), the Arab Journalism Award in Culture (UAE), and the World Writers' Organization Medal in Translation (Togo).

The adventure of * "My Father, the Mapmaker"* was illustrated by Walaa Khalifa, a graphic designer and visual artist who won first prize in the 2015 Creativity Competition in the painting and oil painting category.
