After the January revolution, the country passed through many events until the presidential elections were held, and the Muslim Brotherhood's candidate Dr. Mohammad Morsi won. The masses were optimistic, awaiting stability, improved living conditions, and the return of security. But what happened during the full year was not what these masses wished for.
Let us confirm, at the outset, that the 25th January 2011 revolution toppled the apparent husk of Mubarak's regime, while the rest of the body remained intact.
The country's affairs were proceeding in a more random than organized and studied manner, often as a continuous reaction.
Acts of violence and thuggery spread, some of which stemmed from sick personalities, and some were through the support of some corrupt wealthy people.
Many events took place in the country until it reached the stage of the Muslim Brotherhood's ascent to the country's governing sofa.
And here we are now, a year after President Mohammed Morsi took over, and the citizen has not felt any progress on the scene, quite the contrary, conditions deteriorated and cases of thuggery spread more than before.
In short, all those reasons against which the 25th January 2011 revolution took place are still present on the ground, and what used to be done covertly is now done openly, in the absence of the state's power, despite the citizen's anticipation of stability after having a president for the republic.
Moreover, a state of unusual brotherhood dominance over all positions in the state emerged, and matters reached the explicit declaration that the Brotherhood should take over all the leadership positions in the state (a statement by Minister of Information Salah Abdul Maqsoud).
Away from the statements and down to the ground, many people noticed a trend towards "brotherhoodization."
The Muslim Brotherhood's brigades of men and women spread on the internet, justifying, appreciating, and valuing every Brotherhood act, no matter what it was..!!
They reached the point where they openly declare: there is no harm in Brotherhoodizing the state..!!
And even if these brigades repeat everywhere: I am not a Brotherhood member but I am for legitimacy and the Brotherhood..!!
The catastrophe that the ordinary citizen sensed is that the Brotherhood member who holds one of the positions does not possess any degree of competence or experience.
People expected a lot from the new leadership, but what was happening was the continuous search for ways to empower the Brotherhood in positions, and they didn't care at all about the dilemmas of the issues that concern the ordinary citizen.
The Brotherhood could have succeeded and overcome the crisis and the counter-movements would not have appeared if they cared at the beginning about the state and made the citizen feel a lot of change on the ground. Here they could have gained the people's trust. Afterward, and quietly and over a long period of time, real Brotherhood leaders could be prepared, and these leaders could take over the various positions.
But the truth is that a state of frenzy appeared.. and the Brotherhood, with their numbers, and waiting and anticipation to compensate for years they considered lean years for them..
Today, they want to reap the spoils without any wait.. Today, the gathering descends from the mountain to gather the spoils.. They left the state.. problems got worse, and at the top of them are thuggery and the absence of security.
This serious problem leads to many other problems, instead of searching for a solution by those in power in the country. Instead, they talked everywhere about how the police did not want to cooperate. And that the police are nothing but remnants and affiliated with the previous regime.
Here, the citizen had another opinion simmering within. The citizen does not want that and doesn't know anything about it; all they want is security and to confront thuggery.
Instead of the Muslim Brotherhood's excuses, which state that the police do not want to cooperate, being a reason to convince the public opinion, they were the reason for the distaste and hatred many felt for the ruling regime, because that justification is considered a weakness, not an excuse.
