With the 2017/18 Premier League football season fast approaching, Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, TCA Abu Dhabi, and Manchester City Football Club have launched a new season-long campaign that which gives fans the chance to create their own extraordinary story on a trip to the UAE capital by sharing their own extraordinary memories and stories about being a Manchester City fan.
The ‘Extraordinary City Story’ activity kicks off with a competition offering club supporters the chance to win prizes throughout the season, such as tickets to the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and a grand prize of an all-expenses paid trip to Abu Dhabi coupled with tickets to a Manchester City game at the Etihad Stadium. To be in with a chance to win, fans need only share their most extraordinary memory of being a City fan using the hashtag #ExtraordinaryCityStory.
To celebrate the launch of the global competition, and to coincide with the start of Manchester City’s pre-season tour in the United States, TCA Abu Dhabi unveiled a specially commissioned shirt in the UAE capital at the Emirates Palace, also the venue for Manchester City’s mid-season training session last February.
The shirt will be worn by Sergio Aguero, Kevin de Bruyne, Vincent Kompany and the rest of the City stars as they take on the likes of city rivals Manchester United, European champions Real Madrid and London giants Tottenham Hotspur whilst in the USA.

Manchester City take on local rivals Manchester United at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas on July 20th, UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid at The Coliseum, Los Angeles on July 26th and Tottenham Hotspur at Nissan Stadium, Nashville on July 29th.
City’s first game of the new season is against league newcomers Brighton and Hove Albion on August 12th, with the first home game being against Everton on August 21st.
