The College of Business and Economics has organized an exhibition for four days for students’ graduation projects with the participation of 180 students. The students presented more than 60 projects addressing some ideas and initiatives that they worked on during their internship period. Students presented their ideas, and experiences in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Madi, Dean of the College, Dr. Rashed Alzahmi, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, and a number of faculty members, visitors from different organizations, and other university students.
In his speech addressing the graduate students, Prof. Mohamed Madi said, "Practical training is an integral part of the student's study plan. It is an application of theoretical knowledge that aims to refine students' skills and provide them with new technical, administrative, and behavioral skills. It is a turning point and a starting point for the labor market." . The Dean congratulated the students for the effort they made during the training period and years of study, stressing their role in reflecting the bright and civilized image of the UAEU students, wishing them success in their career and future plans.
Dr. Rashed Alzahmi, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, said that the college aims, through holding this exhibition, as an educational product to complement the academic programs, and to provide the interns with an opportunity to share their experiences with the various students and employees of the university. Where the students must train for at least 12 weeks in one of the accredited organizations in the country and in the field of their scientific specialization and make the most of the training opportunity to hone their skills and experiences, as the training process is supervised by internship instructors who make field visits to follow up the effectiveness of the training program and a supervisor from Employer.
The students were trained in various government and private organizations in different emirates. And this is within the framework of the strategic partnership between the private and government sectors with the university, to attract, train and equip students with necessary skills, indicating that a large number of trainee students have obtained job offers from the workplaces in which they trained, which confirms the role of the UAE University in preparing graduates with the required competencies for the Labor market.
