If Rome or Florence is out of reach, Mercato Centrale brings you Italian
atmosphere, delicious food and love of all things good at its new venue in Burjuman Centre.
Opening on 9th August, Mercato Centrale will immerse diners in Italian ambience, music and
food, all at moderate prices. Open from 7.30 a.m. till midnight means there is ample time to
welcome guests. Seating is generous, with 40 places inside, 48 around the wonderful indoor
fountain and, from October 12th, a further 48 on the outdoor terrace.
Recipes are 100% Italian, as are the chefs, Giandonato Tafuri and Leonardo Maltese. Chef
Giandonato told of his pleasure of being in Dubai with Mercato: “I cannot wait to cook
authentic Italian food for the guests, to show them what real Italian cooking is about. We
have created a menu which reflects all this and nothing will give us greater satisfaction than
seeing the smile on the face of a diner as they take that first bite.”
The much loved eatery will be offering diners unbeatable breakfasts including eggs, smoked
salmon, avocado, yoghourt, granola and fresh fruit for every taste and dietary requirement,
lunches to break up the day with artisanal pasta, pizza, panzarotti and salads or perhaps a
sandwich, loaded with favourite ingredients and delectable dinners to linger over and
remember. Of course, good Italian coffee will be available all day long!
For those who require delivery or take away, Mercato Centrale has got you covered. If it can
be enjoyed in the restaurant, it can be equally appreciated at home or work. Lunch boxes are offered as well as catering for groups. The freshest of ingredients are flown in from Italy,
and when that is not possible, the same high standards apply to locally sourced items.
Ingredients for their mouth-watering dishes are also for sale, allowing customers to try their
skills at home. Online ordering is available and a loyalty app is on the way. It has never been
easier to enjoy the true flavours of Italy.
Mercato Centrale is the latest expansion project by the Skelmore Hospitality Group.
