In the context of applying a more focused customer experience and the delivery of a better customer journey, EGYPTAIR and TAP Air Portugal, both members of Star Alliance, have agreed to strengthen their cooperation by expanding their current codeshare agreement through theInclusion of the new connections which will enable customers to enjoy enhanced connectivity and seamless travel throughout both carriers’ networks offering passengers various possibilities to travel.

In enhancement of the first phase of the agreement between the two carriers which enabledEGYPTAIR customers to use TP flights to Lisbon via Rome, Milan, Madrid and Barcelona and vv, the extended agreement will enable EGYPTAIR to put its code on TP flight via more intermediate major European hubs: Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt, Munich, Geneve and Vienna vv.  Furthermore, EGYPTAIR will place its code on TP flights to the City of Porto in Portugal via Amsterdam and from Porto to Vienna.

"This new stage of cooperation will offer passengers who wish to travel between Egypt and Portugal more facilities and new transport possibilities in terms of schedules and frequencies, shorter connections, with the objective of sustaining and developing the traffic flows between our two countries. Further, both airlines will have the advantage to offer their customers seamless transfers on their shared routes with only one reservation number and through-check-in facility to their final destination."
