Emirates Park Zoo and Resort a nation-wide leader in Edutainment and personalized school experiences has launched its new curriculum-based school programs, an individual, single-day experience, designed according to British, American, Indian, UAE and European syllabi.
Based on the package of choice, the edutaining visit includes a touchable animal experience, visit to several sections of the zoo, and a choice of educational talks, animal shows and interactions. Come face-to-face with the darling residents- Asian elephants, sea lions, vultures, raccoons, crocodiles, cheetahs, lions and the animals housed at the petting zoo. Children can also dance to the tunes of exotic African drums, and be enamored by a magic show at the stunning Amphitheatre venue during an unprecedented, interactive experience that follows an African theme.
The day will also open eyes to a wealth of information, starting from animal conservation, and environmental sustainability. As a pioneer of furthering a multitude of environmental causes in the capital, the zoo has undertaken the initiative of the Power of the 3 Rs- Reduce, reuse and recycle. “In this program, students will be learning how to create a sustainable environment through efficient waste management techniques. Being eco-friendly is the best way to treat back to the world in which we live in,” said Dr. Waleed, zoo operations manager at Emirates Park Zoo and Resort.
Dr. Waleed said, “Enchant, enrich and enhance are three mantras that have been integrated into building this experience. We focused on balancing entertainment, leisure and education while creating the Edutainment program. Student will go home with an increased understanding of the different wildlife species, its home, hunting strategies, threats faced and general knowledge.”
Thereafter, the zoo also has a Fun Games center that has 5 rides and over 100 machines on which children can slide, run, play and enjoy the virtual and simulation games. Schools can also choose to include meal options that vary from healthy snacks, lunch boxes and refreshments available at the zoo.
Rates start at AED 25 per child. For more information, visit www.emiratesparkzooandresort.com
