Dr. Jernail Singh Anand, based in Chandigarh, is an Indian poet and scholar credited with 170 plus books of English literature, philosophy and spirituality. He won great Serbian Award Charter of Morava and his name adorns the Poets’ Rock in Serbia. He was honoured with Seneca Award LAUDIS CHARTA by Academy of Arts & Philosophical Sciences, Bari, Italy 2024. DISINTEGRATION

How a drop of water disintegrates

On this holy ground

The winds wash it off

And it is just not found.

A drop of existence,

I came

Off a running stream

Of life and settled unsecure on the shore.

How difficult it was

To return to the stream

When I find

My feet fabled and wings, disabled

Only a wish remains

To return to the folds divine

No other way,

Except to call time to wind you away.

Vapour by vapour I fly

Back into the arteries of the sky

Shall I return to the stream?

I ask disintegrating limbs with a sigh.

Hell is in Human Choice

FREE CHOICE

No doubt it is all god’s will

Yet there are many

Who think God

A product of the rumour mill.

Every moment has a forked mouth

One promises

To makes me a hero

And the other threatens with a zero.

Gods judge me

Not by what I think,

But by the steps I take

Whether I am a saint or a fake.

The choice is entirely mine

And pleasure too

To turn a good leaf

Or choose the path of grief.

But by nature I find

Myself more prone to vanity

Good distracts me  

While Evil casts a spell on my sanity.

Finally, when I look at myself

I find error heaped upon error

Goodness rots

While Devil takes pleasure shots.
