Sudan landslide kills over 1,000 people

At least 1,000 were killed in a landslide that destroyed a village in the Marra Mountains area of Sudan's Darfur region, according to local sources.

The landslide struck on Sunday after days of heavy rainfall, leaving only one survivor.

Over a thousand people have lost their lives due to the landslide that wiped out the village of Tarasin in the Marra Mountains area.
