Dubai Police has officially added the Defender HSE P400 to its luxury security patrol fleet, unveiled during the opening day of the World Police Summit at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The vehicle, supplied by Al Tayer Motors, the exclusive dealer of Land Rover in the UAE, marks the first Defender model to join the fleet.
The launch was led by Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations at Dubai Police, in the presence of Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic; Brigadier Nabeel Alreda, Acting Director of the General Department of Transport and Rescue; and Lt. Colonel Anwar Saleh Al Nimer, Acting Director of Dubai Police Vehicles Department along with several Dubai Police officers and staff from both organisations.
Major General Al Ghaithi was briefed on the vehicle’s advanced features, including its high-performance off-road capabilities, eco-friendly specifications, panoramic sunroof, interactive driver display, 3D surround camera, remote control system with SOS emergency call, touchscreen interface, and matrix LED headlights. He also reviewed the terrain response system, all-terrain progress control (ATPC), configurable terrain response, and wade sensing system.
Praising the strategic partnership with Al Tayer Motors, Major General Al Ghaithi highlighted the importance of equipping police patrols with advanced vehicles to support operational readiness and public safety. “Integrating luxury patrol vehicles equipped with cutting-edge technology strengthens our presence across various areas and enhances our ability to respond effectively to evolving security needs,” he stated.
