The Ritz-Carlton, Almaty has welcomed Can Göktaş in his appointment as the new General Manager of the hotel. Göktaş will be responsible for the overall hotel performance and continue to grow the hotel’s prominence within the international markets.
Göktaş holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Management at Bosporus University and a Master of Business Administration from the NEOMA Business School in Paris, where he specialized in luxury brand marketing.
With a career in hospitality spanning from more than two decades, Göktaş has previous experience as the Regional Sales Director at Kempinski Hotels for Turkey and South Europe where he was recognized with the CEO Award in 2013 for his contribution to the company’s development and the Best Sales Awards for achieving the highest profit. He was most recently appointed as the General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Istanbul, where he led the operations for more than two years.
