Jannah Hotels & Resorts Chief Executive Officer Nehme Imad Darwiche will address the forum on effectively targeting millennials and Generation X-ers at the World Halal Tourism Summit 2017, for which the Bedouin-inspired hospitality brand is also a platinum sponsor.
The World Halal Tourism Summit brings together some of the world’s leading Muslim Travel experts to discuss the nuances of this fast-growing sector, which was worth $145 billion in 2015, around 10% of total international tourism, according to Thomson Reuters. Its value is tipped to hit the $233 billion mark, some 13% of total global travel expenditure by 2020. The UAE is one of the world’s prominent Halal Tourism industry stakeholders, a pioneer in developing Muslim-friendly tourism infrastructure that attracts an increasing number of domestic, intra-regional and international visitors; as well as a key source market for other Halal-friendly destinations around the world.
In a press statement released earlier today, Mr. Darwiche said, “I am honoured to be chosen as one of the panellists for the world’s only dedicated Muslim majority travel show, an expo that plays a pivotal role in addressing the needs of the fastest growing and most important sectors for travellers,”
“I hope to offer insight and solutions on how to effectively market halal travel to a highly-specified demographic- Millennials. I also look forward to meeting with travel experts who can shed light on the latest trends with regard to this specialized sector,” concluded Mr. Darwiche.
