Andalus Hotels & Resorts’ flagship property Al Seef Resort & Spa joined the entire nation in observing the UAE National Flag Day today.
The team at Al Seef Resort & Spa by Andalus, led by the resort mayor Fadi Hazeem, took a moment of respectful tribute to the UAE flag situated in front of the resort to symbolize their allegiance to the country. November 2 holds a special significance in the country’s history and this year marks the 13th anniversary of Presidency of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The VP of Revenue Optimization Mr. Hazeem Badran said, “We are pleased to be part of this significant national occasion, marking this noble day of unity among Emiratis and the expat community.”
According to The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, the UAE flag was chosen from over 1,030 designs. Each color in the flag holds a special significance: red symbolizes the sacrifices of previous generations who laid the foundations for the union of the seven emirates and the martyrs who have died protecting the UAE; green depicts growth, prosperity and cultural renaissance; black reflects the rejection of injustice and extremism, and white celebrates the UAE’s charitable contributions and the government’s aim to work towards achieving global peace.
