Poland’s unemployment rises to 5.6% in September

Poland’s unemployment rate increased to 5.6 percent in September, according to the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy.

At the end of September, there were around 867,600 people unemployed across the country, up by 10,300 compared with the previous month, government data showed.

The state-run Statistics Poland agency (GUS) reported last month that the jobless rate had risen to 5.5 percent in August, from 5.4 percent in July.
