Knowledge Summit 2024 special session celebrates winners of MBRKA 2024

The winners of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award (MBRKA) 2024 showcased their intellectual, creative, and humanitarian contributions that led them to receive this prestigious honour, during their participation in a distinguished panel session as part of the proceedings of the Knowledge Summit 2024, which is being held at the Dubai World Trade Center on 18th and 19th November 2024.

Dr. Ahmed Eid Khamis Thani Almheiri, an Emirati physicist and researcher specialising in theoretical physics, and one of the winners of MBRKA, narrated the details of his scientific success story, highlighting the key milestones and achievements in it.

He said, “This honour is of great importance, as it motivates me to continue on the path of scientific research and exploration and contribute to the progress of science and raise the name of my country high.”

Another recipient of MBRKA, Dr. Andrew Ng Yan Tak, a computer scientist, and AI pioneer, expressed his pride and happiness at receiving the award and said, “This award is a great motivation for me to continue my relentless efforts in the field of technology and artificial intelligence. It is truly a special moment in my life and a milestone in my academic and professional career.”

Dr. David M Clark, Professor Emeritus of Experimental Psychology, and Dr. Anke Ehlers, Professor of Experimental Psychopathology, expressed their joy at receiving the award, emphasising that it motivates them to continue their research efforts in the field of diseases and medical treatments.

During the session moderated by Sally Mousa, international presenter and speaker, the winners extended their deep gratitude to the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) and the MBRKA organisers, indicating that this honor would inspire innovators, youth, and pioneers to persevere, learn, and move forward on the path of innovation.

These creative figures join a long list of winners of MBRKA, launched in 2014 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to honour those with major knowledge achievements and encourage those working in the field of knowledge to innovate and create to advance the development process and build a better future for
