ZHO, CMRC collaborate to enhance services for People of Determination at 'Host Centre'

Zayed Higher Organisation (ZHO) has announced the signing of a contract with the Cambridge Centre for Medicine and Rehabilitation (CMRC) regarding the operation of the Host Centre to elevate services offered at the centre dedicated to the long-term care of People of Determination.

The contract was signed Abdullah Al-Humaidan, ZHO Secretary-General, and Dr. Howard Podolsky, CMRC Group Chief Executive. The signing ceremony took place at the company's headquarters in the presence of a number of leaders from both sides.

Under the terms of the contract, CMRC will provide an array of specialised services at the Host Centre, including nursing, applied behaviour analysis, pharmaceutical, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, registered dietitian, and dental services tailored to the needs of People of Determination.

Al-Humaidan highlighted ZHO's commitment to delivering top-tier care and rehabilitation across all its facilities, aiming to foster an environment conducive to educational, occupational, cultural, and social empowerment in alignment with individual abilities and aspirations.

Entrusting the Host Centre's management to CMRC underscores the commitment to uphold the highest standards of care, supervision, and integration for residents, thereby enhancing their overall well-being and societal integration.

Established in 2013 and located in Abu Dhabi's Mafraq area, the Host Centre offers long-term accommodation, continuous support, and a comprehensive range of medical, nursing, therapeutic, and rehabilitation services. Supported by the Health Authority—Abu Dhabi, the centre has 80 beds and caters to adolescents and adults with complex medical and mental disabilities, ensuring round-the-clock high-level nursing care.

The centre provides high-quality care for People of Determination, including those with complex psychological disorders and severe physical disabilities. It offers long-term care for inpatients, rehabilitation for children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly requiring different levels of mental and physical care.
