Fire breaks out at London's Camden Lock Market

Ten fire engines and more than 70 firefighters were fighting a large blaze early Monday at a popular London market, the London Fire Brigade said.

A brigade spokesperson said that the fire broke out at a building in Camden Lock Market and the first, second and third floors and its roof were alight, according to Deutsche Presse-Agentur, DPA.

"The fire was moving very fast," said witness Joan Ribes. "People were watching, but we were scared the building could explode at any time since there are restaurants with kitchens nearby."

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said it was not known if there were injuries, added DPA.
