5.8-magnitude earthquake strikes Indonesia's Maluku province

A magnitude 5.8 earthquake occurred in Indonesia's Maluku province in the early morning of Monday.

In a statement, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency of Indonesia said that the quake was located 50 kilometres from the island of Seram at a depth of 14 kilometres.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
