An agreement has been reached to carry out transit transportation from Korea through Kazakhstan to the countries of Central Asia, the press service of the National Company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” (Kazakhstan Railways) reports.

“A working meeting was held in Seoul (Korea), the key focus of which was the discussion of issues related to optimizing the transportation process by rail, as well as the development of transit transportation from China,” the statement said.

The event was organized by the largest Chinese companies – China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd (CRCT) and Lianyungang Port Group (LPG).

Deputy General Director for Logistics of JSC “KTZ Express” Aybek Kapar acquainted the participants with the current possibilities of transit cargo transportation through the territory of Kazakhstan, paying special attention to the terms of transportation via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TMTM).

“As a result of the meeting, important agreements have been reached for the Kazakh side on the implementation of transit transportation of spare automotive parts from Korea to the countries of Central Asia,” the press service emphasized.

“KTZ Express,” together with CRCT and automobile manufacturers Hyundai and General Motors, plans to start deliveries in the near future.
