TRENDS Research and Advisory, China Institute of International Studies discuss cooperation

TRENDS Research and Advisory reviewed aspects of cooperation and scientific research exchange with the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS), affiliated to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting took place during the visit by a delegation of experts and researchers from the Institute to TRENDS Research and Advisory headquarters - Dubai Sector.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed mechanisms to enhance partnership between the two parties in the fields of scientific research and specialised international studies. They discussed aspects of cooperation in the field of training and development, in addition to the exchange of experts, researchers and academics. They agreed on the need to support scientific research and promote the research efforts of think tanks and their output.

Awad Al Breiki, Head of TRENDS Global at Sector at TRENDS Research and Advisory, appreciated the fruitful and constructive meeting with the delegation of the China Institute of International Studies.

He said that TRENDS is keen on permanent coordination with research institutes and think tanks, due to their valuable expertise and academic experience in the field of scientific research. He added that TRENDS Center seeks to consolidate effective relations and partnerships with regional and international research institutions, including the China Institute of International Studies.

Al-Breiki stated that the endeavors of «TRENDS» and «» shall optimise the benefit of scientific research outputs. Such efforts would help both institutions to keep abreast with regional and global issues through discussion, analysis and offering sound solutions to address them. He indicated that continuous intellectual communication between institutions and research centers is the key to success of constructive partnerships and relations based on the integration of roles instead of competition.

The delegation of the China Institute of International Studies praised the strategy and vision of TRENDS and the center's openness to various international institutions and research centers. They said this approach would bridge the views, visions and ideas on analyzing issues and crises and addressing them with scientific research and joint studies.

They stressed that TRENDS Research and Advisory has become an intellectual reference at the regional and international levels. They said that TRENDS research output is accurate, focused and keeps pace with many current events in an objective manner.

They explained that the China Institute of International Studies is open to research centers around the world. The Chinese delegation expressed the need to integrate roles and exchange scientific research on emerging issues at the global scene. They added that research and knowledge exhange between research institutions plays a constructive role in providing objective and accurate analyses, and delivers useful and effective solutions.
