AIQ targets expansion in GCC and East Asia to accelerate digital transformation in the energy sector

Youssef Salem, the Chief Financial Officer of AIQ, a joint venture between ADNOC and G42, stated that the company aims to further expand in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and East Asia as part of its regional and global development plans to accelerate digital transformation in the energy sector.

Salem, in statements to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the side-lines of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2023), said that the company already has operations in the UAE and recently expanded into Kuwait, Bahrain, and Malaysia.

He noted that the company holds 11 patents in artificial intelligence projects within the energy sector and other industries. Through its participation in ADIPEC, the company aims to attract new customers and partners, especially considering that the exhibition provides an excellent opportunity to showcase its solutions and products to a global audience.

Salem emphasized that AIQ is committed to helping the UAE lead the world in artificial intelligence by 2031. The company plays a pivotal role in the country's comprehensive artificial intelligence ecosystem by focusing on accelerating AI-based technological advancements in the global industrial sector and advancing it towards sustainability.

He explained that the company continues to work on accelerating the digital transformation of the energy sector, aiming to build a more sustainable future. Climate change challenges require smart and efficient solutions for the industry.

The CFO of AIQ affirmed that the company is working to enhance value extensively by developing its team of global data scientists and implementing advanced data management solutions that employ artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, and other advanced technologies to address specialized use cases and deliver value in broad operational scenarios.

He mentioned that AIQ's artificial intelligence solutions aim to enhance performance, efficiency, and the protection of individuals, assets, and operations, enabling customers to achieve their sustainability goals and expanding the benefits of artificial intelligence to accelerate digital transformation across the company.

He further stated that the ADIPEC conference is the largest gathering of energy companies worldwide and plays a pivotal role this year in balancing energy security, carbon reduction, and addressing climate challenges. The conference focuses on technological solutions that can maximize energy production with minimal carbon emissions.

Youssef Salem also highlighted that "AIQ" will participate in the COP 28 conference, hosted by the UAE before the end of this year. He anticipated strong results and significant achievements from the conference, which will feature numerous events and activities
