Umm Al Quwain Municipality Organizes Artistic Sustainability Workshop for Summer Students

The Municipality of Umm Al Quwain, in collaboration with the Umm Al Quwain Creative Center, organized a workshop titled "Design an Artwork for a More Sustainable Environment." This initiative is part of the municipality's participation alongside various governmental entities and institutions in organizing meaningful summer events aimed at developing students' skills and broadening their knowledge.

The workshop, presented by Engineer Abdullah Mustafa Akila from the Municipality of Umm Al Quwain, was part of the Ministry of Culture and Youth's summer camp activities. Its main objective was to promote and instill a culture of sustainability among the youth and future generations, considering it a fundamental pillar for preserving natural resources and wildlife.

Engineer Akila provided the participating students with an explanation of sustainability and its application in the daily life of each individual, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation. Moreover, he acquainted them with essential methods contributing to the preservation of the natural environment by transforming waste materials into sustainable art.

Under Engineer Akila's supervision, the students executed a series of artistic designs, utilizing materials and resources readily available in the environment, including various metals and recyclable waste. They successfully transformed these elements into beautiful environmentally friendly artworks.
