Türkiye's energy import bill down 30.5% in March

Türkiye's energy import bill decreased by 30.5% to $5.84 billion in March compared to the same month of 2022, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute.

The data shows that the overall import bill in March, including energy and other items, totaled $31.93 billion, Turkish News Agency (Anadolu Agency) reported, quoting the Turkish Statistical Institute.

At $5.84 billion, energy accounted for 18.3% of the overall import figures in Türkiye in March.

Crude oil imports in March showed a 5.2% decrease to 2.52 million tons of crude, compared to 2.66 million tons in March last year.
