Turkish Opposition Party Leader: Erdogan Suffers from Heart Spasm

Since yesterday, rumors and speculations about President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's health have not stopped. Despite the presidential palace in Ankara confirming that Erdogan's health is stable, this has not prevented analyses and comments that questioned the official story. Today, according to the Cumhuriyet newspaper's website, Mustafa Saragül, the leader of the Turkish Change Party and a candidate for deputy from the northeastern city of Erzincan, made an interesting claim about President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's health. Medyascope reported that Saragül used the following expressions during his talk: "The first ten years of the Justice and Development Party were successful, and they did good work, but after that, they declined, and the citizens became tired of them. Erdogan suffered a heart spasm during a TV show last night. 22 years (his ruling period) is not easy."

The program then stopped, and after 20 minutes, it resumed. Erdogan said, "I have a severe cold, and we thought we would be misunderstood if we canceled the show. We came for our word" and "I would like to thank every member of my noble nation, all my brothers and sisters who have conveyed their wishes and prayers from this simple incident due to my busy work."

Party Officials: Soon, We Will Witness the End of the Story

In statements to Halk TV today, Dr. Turhan Gümüş, Erdogan's former physician and now a leader in the opposition National Good Party, said that Erdogan's retreat and rest on his doctors' advice is not solely due to illness. There are also a host of other reasons. The truth is that he is angry, anxious, and panicking because of the slogans raised against him, like "Enough, we are tired." Moreover, the disappointing poll results made him feel that he would lose the upcoming elections scheduled for May 14th. Gümüş added that soon, "we will witness the end of the story," referring to the end of the Justice and Development Party era.

Erdogan previously announced 25 days before the elections that he would not hold any public rallies during the election period. However, he changed his mind and decided, in a surprising move, to conduct election tours. Journalist Günayt Özdemir explained this change as Erdogan initially believing he would win easily, but later realizing the road was difficult.

According to official sources, Erdogan suffered a sudden health crisis during his live broadcast last night due to the extreme effort he had exerted in the recent short period in preparation for the presidential and parliamentary elections. After this sudden development, Erdogan announced on his social media account that he "has a cold and will not be able to attend rallies in the cities of Kırıkkale, Yozgat, and Sivas in the country's center today." Turhan emphasized that Erdogan has genuine fears of losing his position and that Turkey is preparing for a new era.
