H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has attended the final day of the 15th Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, were present at the starting grid and signalled the start of the race following a performance of the UAE national anthem.
The Crown Pince of Abu Dhabi greeted guests from around the world ahead of the finale of the 2023 Formula 1 season, which took place at Yas Marina Circuit. His Highness also praised the organisers and strategic partners for their role in delivering the successful global sporting event.
Also attending the event were H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA); Stefano Domenicali, CEO of the Formula 1 Group; and a number of senior officials.
Following the race, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan presented the winner’s trophy to the Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2023 winner Max Verstappen. Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi will continue to host the F1 season finale until at least 2030.
