"Huda-Par," Erdogan's Ally Refuses to Take the Oath of the Turkish Nation

It was said that the Huda-Par party, which seized four deputies from the Justice and Development Party's lists under the People's Alliance in the May 14 elections, objected to the oath-taking ceremony that was expected to be held in parliament in the past two days.

Ozgur Ozel from the Republican People's Party claimed that pressure was exerted on the Kurdistan People's Party to avoid any crisis, and that the oath-taking ceremony had been postponed after the second round of elections.

In a previous broadcast in which he participated, the leader of the Huda-Par party, Yapicioglu, who said he does not see Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, was asked, "Will you take the oath when you are elected as a member of parliament?" He replied: "We will see," without giving a definitive answer.

The Deputy Speaker of the Republican People's Party's parliamentary group, Ozgur Ozel, spoke to "Ipek Ozby" in a live broadcast on Sozcu TV, saying that after critical assessments of the elections and the second round, the swearing-in of the deputies was expected five days after the parliamentary elections, but it was postponed due to objections from a component of the People's Alliance led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which is the Huda-Par party.

It is worth noting that party members say "there is no Turkish flag," and thus there is also no commitment to the notion that "there is no Turkish nation." So how do we swear an oath on something that does not exist? Therefore, they object to the text of the oath and the phrase "I swear the oath before the Turkish nation", they say this text must be changed.
