The 9th Education Interface Exhibition and the Middle East Youth Conference opened today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The event, held under the theme, “Serving Education for Nine Years,” and the patronage of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, was opened by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, with the participation of many local and international academic establishments. The opening ceremony was attended by Zaki Nusseibeh, Cultural Adviser to the UAE President and Chancellor of UAE University; Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology; Sara Musallam, Minister of State for Early Education; Faraj bin Hamouda Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of bin Hamouda Group, a sponsor of the exhibition; Dr. Moza Saeed Al Badi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Education Interface and several government officials and representatives of educational institutions and entities. Sheikh Nahyan said that the UAE leadership’s vision of education focuses on future sciences, artificial intelligence and modern technologies, which will enhance the country’s sustainable development. He added that the pioneering educational event, which offers students the opportunity to learn about future skills and specialities, fills him with pride, and he is honoured to inaugurate it and support the country’s efforts to empower students. The event attracts nearly 50 universities and academic institutions from around the country and more than 350 regional and international universities.

The event will gather more than 400 local and international educational institutions to discuss academic disciplines keeping pace with the needs of the future labour market.

The conference features an intensive two-day programme of dialogue, with the participation of a group of official speakers representing ministries, agencies, universities and higher education institutions discussing the role of education in achieving sustainable development, and the applications of artificial intelligence in education.
