Pakistan Property Exhibition at IREIS 2017

The 3^rd Pakistani Property Exhibition (PPE) in Abu Dhabi will be hosted alongside the 9^th edition of the International Real Estate & Investment Show. The exhibition supported by the Pakistani Embassy, Ministry of Housing (Pakistan) and the Pakistan Business Council will serve as a massive stage for Pakistan’s real estate giants and developers to showcase the most attractive options for investment.

The exhibitors will be hosting exclusive spot sales, heavy discounts and easy monthly payment plans for the attendees of t[G1] he three-day. In addition, the PPE will also showcase housing plots since it is gaining popularity as NRPs are keen on choosing the right plots as safe investment. The IREIS survey from 2016 showed that 25 percent of investors prefer housing plots, 45 percent bought villas and the remaining 35 percent invested in apartments.

The Pakistani expatriate communities is one of the largest expat group in the UAE, making up almost 30 percent of the UAE's population. UAE remains the top choice for many skilled Pakistanis making a healthy income. Recent statistics suggest that affluent/rich Pakistanis hold amongst themselves over $300 million in assets, and up to 40% of their disposable income is allocated for investment back home in Pakistan.

These members of the society have become the target market for real estate agents, as the price range has crossed the mark of PKR 10 million. The growth of the industry is believed to have been influenced by the introduction of the Real Estate Investment Trust in Pakistan. The introduction of 0.3 to 0.6 percent withholding tax on filers and non-filers on tax returns, coupled with the rise of safe property investment bets in the country and abroad, have also been credited with the increased interest of Pakistanis and Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs) to invest in valuable long-term investments compared to short-term purchases.
